Has anyone had any experience with towing a small travel trailer or anything in the 4,000 lb range with the Xc60 Hybrid? Volvo customer service website said it was approved at 5,000 lb tow capacity and I wanted to check out the validity of that.

They are rated to tow at 3500lbs because they don't have the brake controller that's required for 5,000lbs.

I have a 2019 Volvo XC60 T6. I want to tow a 16 foot Airstream Bambi that is rated at 3500 lbs. I know that's cutting it really close, but in Europe they are rated to tow 2400kg. So - is it the brake controller? Or is it a legal liability issue?
